OmniTok — Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 12, 2026
Local Safari Features
OmniTok’s feed filters and player controls run on your device. Extension settings and watched-video history stay in Safari storage. OmniTok’s watched history expires after six hours and can be reset from the extension popup. OmniTok does not add analytics or require an OmniTok account.
Optional Server Recommendations
OmniTok Plus requires a monthly subscription because running the recommendation service has ongoing hosting and bandwidth costs. If you grant server access, OmniTok sends Apple-signed purchase proof to verify your subscription. When you use country recommendations, it also sends your chosen country and requested video count. OmniTok does not send your TikTok password, Safari cookies, TikTok session tokens, or your browser’s TikTok feed address to the OmniTok server. The server connects to TikTok using its own registered devices to obtain a separate feed. TikTok continues to receive traffic from your browser when you use its website and play videos.
Purchases and Verification
Apple processes all payments. OmniTok does not receive your payment card details or Apple Account password. Apple-signed transaction data includes purchase identifiers, product, purchase and expiration dates, and subscription environment. The app shares this proof with its Safari extension using the protected App Group container. The recommendation server verifies it with Apple’s App Store Server API. Purchase proofs are not included in OmniTok’s request logs or sent to the TikTok page.
Server Records
The server sees your IP address and logs request paths, status codes, and timestamps for service operation and troubleshooting. Its admin panel keeps a bounded summary of recent client IPs in memory until restart. Subscription verification results are cached in memory for at most 60 seconds, keyed by a hash of the proof. Server and hosting access-log retention depends on the deployment’s logging settings.
Your Controls
You can turn off 'Use country server' and revoke the extension’s access to the OmniTok server in Safari at any time. Reset watched history from the popup, or remove the extension to remove its local settings. Manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store account; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. For privacy requests, use the developer contact provided through OmniTok’s App Store support link.
Third-Party Terms & Privacy (Apple & TikTok)
Because OmniTok integrates with third-party platforms, your use of the app is also governed by the policies of those respective services: Apple: All subscription processing, billing, and payment data collection are handled directly by Apple. By making a purchase, you agree to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Your payment data and Apple Account information are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. TikTok: OmniTok is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, authorized by, maintained by, or endorsed by TikTok or its affiliates. When you use OmniTok to browse or interact with TikTok content, your use of the platform remains subject to TikTok’s Terms of Service and TikTok's Privacy Policy. OmniTok does not override or prevent TikTok's own data collection; TikTok will continue to process your usage, technical, and behavioral data as described in their policies when you access their website.
